SOUS: Golden Days

This super sketch is on the Stuck on US challenge blog.
Look at the beautiful pages the team made. So much inspiration.

Making my LO I realised this is my favorite style: paper, flowers, colour, photo in the spot, little bit of 'mixed media fun', not to much. A simple aproach, not to crowded. This LO is over my scrappy place for months, I still love to watch it.

In the photo my mother of 80 and me, making a nice trip trough Holland ... The castle was really worn down,but still a magnificant place.

Made a birthdagcard for my sister, roughly used this SOUS sketch from the start of this month.
Used scraps of EP paper and flowers I took from a layout I didn't like anymore.

Difficult to put on a picture ;(

Us, kids, in the 60s -hence the super clothes- with our 2 loveing and ever so sweet grandma's.

To be honest in real life this spread is so beautiful, but it's doesn't show on these pages.
I've made lots of layers with stamps, gesso en different papers. Used facettenlack to make so parts look very old.

March 29 layout on SOUS

Look at the beautiful layouts the designers create at SOUS. I've used a picture of my mum in 1950. Wanted to do someting else with masks, paint and stitching. In the end I'm not totally fond of it, its a bit put together, no cohesion.
But the soft colours turned out OK.

SOUS Favorite Things

If you go to SOUS  you can partipate in a super nice bloghop! So much wonderfull work to see.
It's all about this wonderfull sketch!
I've used EP paper, very easy to make layouts, with the super nice embellishments.
The photo is of my nephew and niece, on a nice birthday, always playing with the Ipad an Iphone ;)

Have used soms Prima Paper and the TH diecut flower.
My little cat String is so sweet, I melt when I look at her face.

It was so nice to get so many comments on the 100th SOUS sketch bloghop. I asked my son to pick a number between 0 and 38, he called out 4.

Number 4 is EsterT, so I'll send the RAK to Canada ;)

TXS EsterT for the nice comment, and in fact, that's how I like to scrap: not to complicated, much to see and not to cluttered!

Some girls wanted to go following my blog (that is ever so nice!) but, I don't have the button followers. I just don't like the term 'follower', maybe it's stupid but I just don't. So I hope to see you again, and I'll certainly will be visiting the blogs of all the girls who commented!

BLOG HOP Stuck on us Sketches

Welcome to my blog. You probably arrived here because of the bloghop by SOUS. A 100 super sketches is a good reason for a party, I think ....

You come from Shilo to my page, and,  if you want to visit all the SOUS girls, next you go to Misty.

Love it when you leave a comment on this post... I'll send a nice present to 1 of the girls who leaves a note. It contains  layered Chipboard and decorative brads form EP, for the record2.

I love this stuff, with the bright happy colours, and the 2 packets are just small enough for an envelope send to ... all over the world (with a nice Dutch stamp with Queen Beatrix on it ;)


The wonderful 100th sketch:

Don't you think this sketch is super, great, creative and multi-usable (is that a word?).
I've used  Bo Bunny paper, al kinds of stamps and some stitching. Made the blue flower myself with tulle and a heat gun ;)

The photo's are of my son, about 9 months old and a bit teary with pain in his ears. He's almost 24 now (such sweet memories, even with all the nights awake ;)

CSI 54 Casablanca

I've used the case file 54 on CSI. A fun site with super work, but to me it's very difficult with all the different elements you have to put on. It show's in the layout, it's a bit messy and there is no coherency. Well first try, and I've used some papers from different lines.
Next time better ;) ;)

SOUS: Good times

This is such a super sketch, you can use it for all kinds of layout...
Love these photo's of me and my mom, on a family party, end of summer.
She doesn't like it when a picture is taken, but I've told her: sit straight, long neck, look as if you see a good friend and look at the camera .... works all time ;)
