Challeange yourself: Art for inspiration

On Challenge Yourself this month a beautiful and difficult challenge: Art for Inspiration.

I took inspiration from the colors orange and blue, and the mood that is a little melancholy.
I've used pictures from my holiday in Morocco, about 10 years ago.
Did a little backgroundwork and altered some plain flowers.
I've used papers from my large stock ;)

a fun sketch and theme: SUMMER

I've made this layout with a picture of me in 1971... like 15 of 16! On a beach in Holland, a bit sexy but in fact I was so shy .....
The title shine has to do with the sun: this summer was so hot and the sun was always shining. At least, as I remember it. On my bikini was a little beltbuckle, like in the layout. I remember it clearly, it used to hang down a little, very anoying when I was sunbathing... hahaha.

Vanaf volgende maand ben ik DT-member bij Challenge yourself. Een erg leuke challenge-blog, waarop uitdagingen staan om jezelf te scrappen!
Hoe leuk is dat.
Het is al weer een tijd geleden dat ik in een DT zat, maar ik heb er enorm zin in!

MTW Moments

On the very inspirational blog More than words, this month a challenge: clocks and moments.

I've made a layout with a picture of me, in 1973. Only 17 of 18 years old, just started working in a little clothes shop in Den Haag, Netherlands.

It's a good picture that says it al: a bit confident, a bit insecure. In that moment.

I've used Kaisercraft paper, #me, with some very good 'sentiments'.
Love the Prima 'branch', used some lace from the marked (I always want to use lace on a layout) and a little bling.

Cards&scrap: Simply beautiful

Via DT Calls zoek ik altijd naar leuke nieuwe uitdagingen, sketch-challenges etc.
Op Cards en scrap inspiratieblog deze maand de uitdaging om een kaart of scrap te maken met als thema 'typisch Hollands'. Toevallig in de ochtend net een leuke foto gemaakt van mijn gele pioentulpen, die een beetje 'door' zijn en aantrekkelijk over de vaas heen hangen. Met zo'n leuk foto-trucje waardoor je zw/w fotografeert met één kleurtje.

Typisch Hollands die tulpen! Ik heb restjes 'oud' papier van Carta Bella en EP gebruikt. Ik heb deze week mijn scrap/stempel keuken een beetje geordend, en kwam van alles tegen dat nog heel goed bruikbaar was. Ook typisch Hollands, wie wat bewaard, die heeft wat.

Mooie Prima bloemen gebruikt, die zijn dan weer nieuw. Net als de leuke 'fotostrip' stempel, waar ik al een tijdje naar op zoek was. Deze vond ik in een 'euro-winkel', voor ... 1 euro!

Kc march: Simple life

Made a layout with the nice sketch on Kaisercraft blog.



Used a picture form last year, a simpe geranium in a pot, on the terrace ... a joy for many days. I love those simple things in life.
Procuct: Kc telegraph road papers, different sorts of leftover embellishments, lots of ink and paint.

I've made a layout with some selfies I made the day I turned 60. With the nice hair and lot's of make up. Paper: the old line vintage summer, Maja design. And prima flowers.

The text is: a complex personality, that's me @ 60.

STUCK?! WONDER

On stuck?! a super cool layout with a surplus challenge, the song 'Stairway to heaven'. These songs challenges don't suit me, so I simply took one word from it: wonder.

This picture of my mum, age 84 is preacious to me.

The paper is Bo Bunny. I started with the sketch, but kept ading stuf,  maybe a bit to much, don't know, but stil like it.

Sketch and scrap: Adorable girl

Sometimes you find a good blog with challenges, that you haven't visited before.... This week I found Sketch-n-scrap, very nice!.
This sketch, turned into this Layout. Used Crate paper and prima flowers.

In the picture me, at about 9 months, in 1956. Love the detail with this old radio, the handmade polka dot-dress, so sweet. Was a happy baby, with no hair hahaha.

I took travel and retro from it: a picture of me in 1975, traveling in Germany, one of the first times I was abroad.



The title is not always true ... I'm very happy in my place now ... but sometimes ...

Sektchabilities 141: Together

On Skechtabilities a nice sketch: made a layout with an old picture of my son in 1993 and a lot of Kaisercraft leftover '75 cent' paper. Mirrored  the sketch sort of.

Flowers are Prima, did a bit of MM also.
