Sketchabillities: when journeys meet

Made a China layout with this great Sketchabilleties sketch:

In the photo an old Chinese lady in a small village, like she is at the end of her journey.
This was also to me a special journey, a trip I'll never forget.

Maybe I have taken the sketch to litteraly, but I sort of like the way it turned out.
The paper is Prima and some inkin and stampin, also with a very old, almost worn down stamp.

I've use Pinkpaisley paper, did soms spraying, stemping, stitching etc. Love the pictures of a sweet friend and her cool dog 'Kees'.

SOUS: Growing Up

This is this week's sketch! On the wonderful blog of Stuck on us sketches.

I've made a layout with lot's of ink, paint and colored Liquitex (just ad a little ink).





















Love those funny pictures with my sisters/brother and me with those little tails ... In '65 we have about 20 familypictures (like most people I think) ... that makes it extra special ...

On Stuck on us Sketches, this is the beautiful sketch...

I've made a layout with some cat-pictures from China ... they looked so sad.
The paper is from an old line of Sassafras and some left-over paper.

Sous sketches, special moments

Sometimes it's so difficult to put a tittle to a layout. In this picture I see my mum and my son. They have a special relation: love, admiration, memories, interests they fit together so well.Two years ago my dad died and we wanted to go further, pick up where life stopped.So we went to a great museum in Den Haag Holland, a enjoyed all the expositions, from doll houses, to modern clothes, Mondriaan, design and interior, and some good modern art.
But, we all where aware of the fact that my dad was missing (although ... he didn't like art like we do).
So it was a good day and a bad day... Never to be forgotten. This picture is on my mum's (81) laptop for almost 2 years ... So ... well special moments is not a very good title, but wat is...

Sous: something you never smelled before

In China, in a backstreet of Xian, we saw this bicycle filled with binbags. The colours in the street where lovely, gray, pink, red spots, sort of distressed walls. A beautifull 'streetlife' picture. But soon enough we became aware of the terrible smell that came from the bags. Rotten meat, mixed with human excrements, urine, you think it, it was in the smell. And what happened to the owner, the bike was standing there, alle allone, for more then 10 minuts. Had he walked off, becuse this smell was to much for him ?

I've used the sketch by Nanné on SOUS.

I've use Prima paper and flowers.
