More than Words blog: Perfect@sketch

Heya,

After a little break -sort of- made a layout with a picture of me in 1972, 17 years old. Wanted to name the lay out PERFECT BIRD - but couldn't find a good 'bird' printed, hahaha, after moving to another house I have been trowing away lots of stuf....

So I changed the name to PERFECT GIRL,  althougt I wasn't perfect ... like now, almost 50 years later.

I've kept the layout simple, with MINTAY paper from 2018 ... good stuf. It's all about big colors and lots of stuff right now, but I love to keep the picture visible and in the centre of the layout....

Challenge More than Words, sketch& PERFECT.

More than words september

On my favorite inspiration blog More than Words  this month the challenge is books@paper ... nice.

I've made a layout with my cat Bo, a bit of a strange picture with funny shades. But including my stack of best books, the poems by Robert Frost.

I've use some beautiful Maja Design paper, that I won last month... great stuff!

Tried something different, glued al kinds of scraps of paper with gel medium on the page, so it became a totally new paper.

Only the stack with the picture is very loose glued. Hope you like it.

See you around, Patricia

MTW august: sketch en chill out

On more than words  this month a great sketch with the word ' chill out'.

I had this picture on my desk ... me, 40 weeks pregnant, very stressed, with my sweet cat Link ... who was the biggest cuddly toy ever. Still mis him.

The layout is a bit sombre to reflect the way I was @ that time.

With 49&Market paper, aquarel paint, some wire, the back of some old hangers, and of course PM flowers.

Have a good time, Patricia

More than words: goodbye and monochrome

MTW: july. This is a great challenge! But difficult.

Used a picture with the old Jewish cemetary in Praque .... 12000 souls, so many goodbyes ... impressive and strange with al the people trambling around.

Paper and flowers from 49&M .... dusty attic chipboard. The tones are off white, beige grey.

Loved making it.

Cheerio, stay healthy P

Simon Says: play with paint

For this week's challenge on Simon says I've played with paint.
Dinah Wakley acrylic, the small botlles ... nice. Used some packaging from coffe cups (dutch brand) as tags. It's some sort of coated paper, so the paint reacted interestingly hahaha.

MTW: funny and stripes

On More than words the may challenge is funny&stripes.
To be honest, I'm a funny girl (@64) love fun and  see things from a different angle.
As they say: If you think about yourself as funny, you always have a good audience.
And to be honest, I love scrapbooking but don't love the layouts with to much stuff on it and to much going on. As Dinah Wakley named it in a workshop: like some-one has barfed on it ....
She is also a funny (and very creative) lady!

But  for this one, I have put up so much stuff ... wow a delirium!
And I love it, the colors and the focus on the picture, that is always the thing (why would you be scrapbooking with postcards or beauty shots from a magazine .... I wonder).

Used 49&m, BBunny, PM flowers yep ... good stuff!

Have fun!!!

Patricia

SIMON SAYS:not a card

Love Simon Says monday challenge:

This Ideal challene: not a card is for me ....
yeah duh ... it's a layout then.
In a strange format A5 ... and made from just scraps&stuff  from the table (and in the reject box).
A small picture of my mum about 8 years old, some beautiful flowers form a good friend en a street cat in China, that was very scary, 'not my girl' .... brrrr
The format is very handy, a layout is finished in 1 hour  ;)

More Than words: everyday bugs and birds

This april challenge on MTW:

I've made a layout with an old picture of my son, 29 years ago, working in a communial garden. He still likes his plants hahaha.
Used 49&M paper, lots of paper flowers that I colored with oxide spray and some stuff hanging around on the desk.

Simply love it when a layout tell's a simple everday story,

Cheerio, Patricia

Album like the Seth Apter way: layers of paint

I haven't post for fome time, scrapbooking is a bit low. But I have been working on some art journals and gelli printing and a little album based on some video's of Seth Apter. I love it, and posted it on the Seth Apter community on face book. Got some nice remarks on it.
